Hotel is in a very good position, HammerSmith station is only like 10min walk. Next time I go back to London this will definitly be my hotel to stay.
Only thing was that in a double bed room only 1 towel was provivded. However when we asked staff they gave us an extra 2 sets. Nothing to really complain about
Low price, comfortable and clean room (although everything looks a bit run down with broken floor tiles in the bathroom, etc.) The breakfast was abundant (but don't expect anything special).
When we first arrived we had to wait for a long time standing outside the reception, until our room was cleaned and ready for us to move in (although we arrived around 3 pm.) The receptionist on that day was rude as well. However, other members of staff were nice and helpful.
Hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Shepherds Bush tube station on the central line, which is then about a 10 minute ride into central London real easy. There are plenty of restaurants around this area and green spaces. I have heard the continental breakfast is great but we didnt get up in time for it, but not far from the tube station is weatherspoons for a cheapy. Great to stay if your looking for a clean, cheap room for a break away, would stay again.
It was simple and easy and good value for money
The room could have benefited from bedside lamps
Nice big room, clean, lovely shower, Great location, Value for money, helpful staff, tv in room, fridge in room, quiet and peaceful. I will definately rebook here or recommend to a friend.
The staff is very helpful. The breakfast was better than expected - the canteen is simple - nothing for sophisticated people - we shared the margarine and jam with other guests, but there was enough food for a good British breakfast.
The furniture in the rooms is basic - but the beds were comfortable and clean, we slept very well.
Had to check-in at sister hotel next door - also where breakfast was! Then, disappointed that my original room choice was changed at the last minute
ok, value for the money, we just need a bed to sleep, basic comfort
breakfast room is too small
Good breakfast, almost full english available, plus cereals, though had expected continental breakfast. Clean bed linen & towels. Hadn't expected the soap & shampoo, that was nice. For the area I think we got what we paid for, and possibly slightly better.
Old building (floor sloped), chipped mugs let it down rather. Our room was ok, but our friends room had a very small en-suite that they felt needed updating. Had to go next door to sister hotel to check-in & get keys, also to have breakfast. Rather noisy location, but then we were in London.
I can only say that the Hotel Balkan and Euro Hotel are next to each other and owned by the same Indian family. The loaction is good and we felt safe, although we did not roam the streets late at night. Our room was away from the busy street, so it was quiet. The room was clean. However, it's an old building, so don't expect a luxury suit. Since it's an old building, there are issues with the water. We had no hot water and had to use the flat on the ground level, b/c the hot water wouldnt reach up. It's crazy, but true. The doors squeeked. So...maintenance is trully needed. If what mentioned doesn't concern you, then go for it. After all, we all need a clean bed, quiet room, and a good shower. The shower was missing. Hence I give it a 6/10. Good luck!
No hot water. Parking was a prob during the day, but a few spots openned up at night. That's London for you!
Great location. Close to many tube stops, bus lines, Westfield mall, restaurants, parks, etc. Working wi-fi. Working refrigerator. Fresh towels each day. Changed one bed linens on request.
Where to start? Lumpy beds (sofa mattress quality) and pillows, 2 towels for 4 persons, water leak in wc, only 1 working electrical outlet, bare electric wires stickign out of wc wall (saftey hazard, imho), no vent in wc leading to generally stale smell, breakfast room severely undersized (we tried once, skipped it thereafter), every step of persons upstairs or stairwell is heard, shower goes hot/cold unpredictably, no heat or a/c (but open windows make for loud traffic), peeling wallpaper, fire alarm dangling from ceiling (doubtful it worked), tv had all of 5 stations. Small room for 4, even by European standards. One must compare hotels for the money and location, but I do not think the good points make up for the bad.
The hotel staff was kind and the room was clean.
My room was in the basement (but it had windows to outside), the shower door was broken, the room was very small and the table has no chair and it was also broken.
The hotel room was not clean, the furniture was all broken. The electric points were broken and not really safe to use.The bathroom wasn't clean there was no plug in the bath and the shower was unusable as the shower curtain didn't fit and wasn't hung properly. The only good thing I can say is the staff were friendly and helpful but I will definately not stay there again or recommend anyone else to
It was in an ideal location for getting out and about in West London.
There was only one curtain in the room which wasn't wide enough to cover the window and also wasn't long enough. The radiator was too hot and wouldn't turn off. There was no "do not disturb" sign and the chambermaid knocked and then opened the door without waiting for me to reply- this could have been embarrassing. When I went to check out, there were 4 or 5 people also waiting to check out but there was no one from the hotel about. I searched and found someone, but he was doing the ironing - he told me he would be up in a minute but 15 minutes later he hadn't appeared, so I had to find him again- he was still doing the ironing and in no hurry- he told me where to leave my key as I'd paid in advance, but there were people there who hadn't paid and were worried about getting to their coach in time!
staff very very friendly and helpful, room was clean and tidy, basic but didnt have high expectations considering the price but would reccomend it. was better than i thought.
